CHARLES CLONE
A Story of Cosmic Discovery, Resilience, and Redemption
Eighteen-year-old Charles Clone is a scrawny Indian-American boy from downtown L.A. who’s long endured bullying, trauma, and violence. His life takes a drastic turn when his parents vanish near a mysterious mansion. Charles finds himself before the very house—only to be hurtled through space and time. He is thrust in the midst of an intergalactic war of aliens… and dinosaurs. As he trains with wolf-men and purple cyborgs, dorms inside of asteroids, and battles intergalactic assassins in zero-g, he begins to not only unravel truths veiled under eons of celestial lies—but ultimately confronts the horrors still lingering within himself. With the fate of an entire galaxy upon his shoulders and the price of a small moon on his head, he must prove to an alien world where he lies amongst their ranks… should he even survive.

OUR MAN & SHAI ZAN
Authors, Screenwriters, Executive Producers, & Showrunners
We are two Indian American brothers: Our Man (pen name of Armaan), who studies Aerospace Engineering and Creative Writing at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Shai Zan (pen name of Shayaan) who is currently studying Writing for Film & Television and Pre-Entertainment Law at Chapman University. Our story begins as two imaginative toddlers, crafting worlds out of Legos. Legos soon became galaxies, and galaxies became entire multiverses, until we decided it was time to put pen to paper. We’ve been crafting the series since middle school—writing at the crack of dawn daily, publishing excerpts in our university papers, and developing a two-hundred-page novel with a feature-length screenplay adaptation, original concept art, pitch decks, and outlines. Our backgrounds in fiction writing, science, and storytelling help us craft visually driven social commentaries that have never been told before, placing an Indian American hero at the center of an epic science fiction franchise.

OUR MISSION
Follow us on our journey... through space and time.
Our mission, as two Indian American brothers from Los Angeles, California, is to do something virtually unheard of: place an ordinary Indian American boy at the forefront of a gripping, adult science fiction epic as the hero. We'd like for Charles to serve as the inspiration for every Indian American and immigrant child. The series' relevance to today’s literary multiverse lies in its mission to do the unprecedented - to amplify underrepresented voices through compelling, high-concept storytelling and worldbuilding. Charles Clone offers an original contribution during the most pressing of times. We understand that stories like this are rarely seen, but desperately needed—for all the bullied kids building galaxies out of LEGOs. For every immigrant child whose voice got drowned in someone else’s dream. Books like us, by authors like us, for readers everywhere.
